tokyo day 2

Started the day with some coffee at Bongen Coffee. Amazing. Note to self, long blacks are better with lighter roasts.

For lunch we had a Tempura Omakase at Tempura Fukamachi. Amazing again. Tempura is really a method of steaming to preserve the freshness of the ingredients without losing flavour to the boiling water. More pictures below.

After that we went shopping at Ometosando.

  1. Poline - High quality, relatively affordable bags. Thea got an oxblood bag.
  2. Yanuk Ayoama - High quality, expensive jeans. I got a medium blue pair of jeans which chose me. You don’t choose jeans, jeans choose you.
  3. COS Ometosando - Old money rich clothing. I got a jacket, Thea got a knitted blouse.

Dinner was with Thea’s colleague Miciko at Toriyoshi a shop specialising in chicken Fried Chicken Cartilage was the standout dish. Next we went to Kajiya Bunzo. Very average.
