tokyo day 1
Flew to Narita. Took the Narita Express. Had Soba at Miyota at Yaesu Shopping Mall. Delicious.
Then we drove 3 hours with Annie and Ashley to Nakagomi Orchards where we spent 5 minutes cutting a bunch of Kyoho grapes from a vineyard which was constructed like a canopy. Spent another 3 hours driving back to Tokyo in a massive traffic Jam.
We then had a Yakiniku dinner at Toraji at Tokyo Square Garden. Delicious. Standout dishes were the Short Rib, 3 Types of Beef Tongue and the Beef Tongue Tsukune with Raw Egg.
Standout Ah Lian phrases/acronyms were the following:
GDLL: Gan Dong Liu Lei Translation: Moved to tears. Used in a Singlish sentence: Wa you brought fruits from a farm in Tokyo? GGDL.
YYDS: Yong Yuan De Shen Translation: An eternal god aka Greatest of All Time. Used in a Singlish sentence: Wow, there’s free wifi on Zipair! YYDS
